Relatively easier to do and the lost shipment voyages give you like a dozen or so merchant crates at 500 to 1k each plus the shipping manifest that sells for 2-4k. Also, the voyages usually end pretty close to an outpost. Cargo runs might get you more rep and gold per voyage but you can do the lost shipment voyages faster.
